Set an overall Event Capacity across ticket buckets

There should be a way to set an overall, singular capacity for an event. For sold-out events, there is no way to know exactly how many of each ticket bucket will sell (GA, Student/Senior, Member). Since the box office and online sales get very busy right before showtime, it is impossible to update ticket bucket quantities in real-time. We only sell Student/Senior tickets in-person at the box office (not available online; we do this to avoid online intentional misuse of ticket discounts). There are two ways to solve this issue: (1) If there was a way to hide "variants" of tickets to only be visible via the in-person box office, or (2) if there was a way to set an overall event capacity. Alternatively, I'm aware we can add "discounts" in the box office, but in many cases there is a parent who wants to buy 1 GA ticket and 1 Student ticket. At the moment, you would have to charge their CC in two separate transactions if you use the discounts feature. We have a lot of sold-out film screenings and people buying multiple ticket types, so this is an issue year-after-year at the box office. There should be an easier way to set an event's capacity with flexibility for ticket types.

Would very much appreciate the ability to set an overall event capacity. We sell multiple ticket types but have no way to automatically ensure that overall ticket sales do not exceed seating capacity.

Marcia Torobin Hi there! Each ticket bucket you create on an event has an area for 'quantity' you can set your capacity limits there. While we don't have an "overall" event capacity, you can create different ticket buckets and set their quantities if you want to control which groups have which availability. Please feel free to reach out to support via the chat on your dashboard and we'd be happy to walk you through this :)

I already set limits on each ticket bucket (adult vs student) but there is no way currently of limiting total tickets sold so that the theater's capacity isn't exceeded.
