Issue Gift Certificate

Since next year's festival is so far away and it's hard to predict what an appropriate ticket price or pass price will be at this point, it would be nice to offer a gift certificate so that we could offer a holiday campaign without having to commit to a ticket price or product offering at this time.

Now that there are gift cards available in beta, I would appreciate a financial report that shows gift card purchases, who they were sent to (so we can check the recipient's account if needed) and when redeemed. Also, any tickets purchased using a gift card are currently just showing as a $0 transaction in the All Orders report but if there's a way to identify them as a transaction where a gift card was used, that would be really beneficial.

We would also like to have a stored value feature. We sell books of tickets in advance to a department or group. We've been using discount codes, but when members of that department enter their code it discounts/reduces the ticket price in the ledger. We'd rather the full ticket price remain as is and have the payment method be what reduces the user's cost. The same way a gift card usually works; members of the group who have the gift card code can order what they will until the money runs out. And the full ticket price can be still be reflected as full price in the ledger.

Please add the ability to add stored value to a user's account! We get many requests for gift certificates, and we've had to create complicated workarounds.

We would like to sell gift certificates for movies that can be used for any movie any time. The price would be a regular ticket price, not a discount.

Hi George, this is definitely on our radar. We don't have an exact ETA on it, but it is something we've received many requests for.

You can do this as a pass. Create a "gift certificate" pass bucket, and then set the pass rules once you've decided on the price in the future.

This feels a bit non-comital and I don't think our audience would buy a pass not knowing the parameters / value offering of the product they are buying. Having a credit that could be spent like cash would be preferable.

We also had a few requests from patrons who wanted to gift to a friend, but didn't know which titles their friend wanted to watch.
